The Drip Project 273-o73a
Two explorations in new musical instrument expressions, with electronic percussion, with live performance. Four water cooler jugs filled to different levels create different tones when played as hand drums, which are then amplified with contact mics. Next to them, several pieces of aluminum sheet are hung, free to vibrate, and also outfitted with contact mics [part number 273-o73a]. Water from spray bottles is sprayed onto the surfaces, and greatly amplified by the mics, leading to an alternative form of percussion performance.
